PDW 2: Socio-Technical Theory in Contemporary Organisations
Description and design of workshop:
The workshop will provide a brief history of socio-technical theory and its relevance to contemporary organisational settings. Participants will be engaged in an interactive design of a lecture, experiential exercise, small group discussion and application session.
Participants can expect to consider the application of Socio-technical principles to organisations characterised by such developments as knowledge work, digital technology, networking, virtual groups and divergent sentient systems.
Who is the workshop for?
- Managers, Consultants and Post-graduate students of Management interested in the design and management of the technical and human interface in contemporary organisations.
Open to all levels.
