PDW 2: Socio-Technical Theory in Contemporary Organisations

Description and design of workshop:

The workshop will provide a brief history of socio-technical theory and its relevance to contemporary organisational settings. Participants will be engaged in an interactive design of a lecture, experiential exercise, small group discussion and application session.

Participants can expect to consider the application of Socio-technical principles to organisations characterised by such developments as knowledge work, digital technology, networking, virtual groups and divergent sentient systems.

Who is the workshop for?

  • Managers, Consultants and Post-graduate students of Management interested in the design and management of the technical and human interface in contemporary organisations.

Open to all levels.

 

This workshop will be run at the Langham Hotel.
